Last weekend was the Koenji Awa Odori, one of Tokyo’s biggest and best summer festivals, in which 10,000 dancers parade through the oft-cramped streets of Koenji to the glee of drunken sweaty spectators. Here’s a selection of our best images (click to enlarge):
