The Jidai Matsuri, held in Kyoto on the 22nd of October every year, is one of Japan’s biggest traditional festivals. We were there this year, braving the rain as the soggy parade members trudged past looking a little depressed but undeniably impressive in their costumes. Here are a few of our favourites:
